I have since worked for numerous contractors and small carpentry businesses in Nova Scotia. I have gained a huge amount of knowledge in the carpentry field from each place that I have worked. I have also met a lot of very good tradesman, whom I keep in contact with. After some time of working for others, I realized that I wanted more from life then to just work for “the other guy”, so after a lot of thought and research I decided that I wanted to build a company of my own with a solid reputation. This was the beginning of Jason Roy Home Renovations.

With over 13+ years serving HRM as a reliable and knowledgeable residential home renovation contractor, I can confidently say that I bring a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the renovation process to my clients. I do this in a very friendly, upfront, honest and trustworthy manner because that is who I am. With me what you see is what you get. I will give you my honest opinion and thoughts no matter what. When working with me, I guarantee that you will always get the best and most reliable guidance on any project you are looking to take on. My client’s best interests are my priority. I provide exceptional and professional handling of every project detail so my clients don’t have to. I do this in a timely manner while respecting my client’s budgets.

While I am confident in my experience, I am always eager to take on new and different tasks, every build/renovation is unique and I believe that this diversity is what encourages me to continue to excel and grow in this industry. While we have grown in experience we choose to stay the same in size in order to provide our clients with the personal service that we feel is required when working in and on someone’s home. I attend to every estimate meeting myself and do not send out unknown estimators to look at your home renovation needs. I named this company after myself, I stand behind our work… My name depends on it.

In my company the goal is to keep the customers informed, on budget and happy/positive throughout the entire building/renovating process. Floor coverings, daily site cleanups and punctuality are a must. I take a great amount of pride in my work and I also respect the fact that our work sites are other people’s work/home environments.

The areas that I believe we excel in are; custom home building/renovations, home additions and decks. We also have a lot of experience in bathrooms, kitchens, window and door replacement, flooring, drywall and painting.

All of the tradespeople that I employ are required to build with the same precision and integrity as if I have built it myself. These tradespeople are very much my peers and I treat them as such. They too take pride in their work and I value their opinions and suggestions. They are equally as good to me and we work together as a great team. I have also established a list of excellent sub-contractors that I will use to meet your deadlines or needs if it is required. These sub-contractors are some of the very best tradespeople that I have worked with over the years. If I am totally booked and cannot meet your deadlines I will give you a referral to another contractor that I believe will do as right by you as if it were me.
